Our Story

Our reformed baptist church in Houston, Texas never had a VBS for our children. Until one summer, Janice Wright decided to create something fun and doctrinally sound for our kids! Chuch History Heroes was our first try with a VBS-type camp & the kids had a blast!

Each summer, another homemade VBS came to fruition thanks to dedicated parents & volunteers.

Today, we share our downloadable camp curriculum with you in hopes that it can be a blessing to the children and families in your congregation!

What parents & Teachers think:

Lily G.

Katy, TX

Even as a teacher, walking through Pilgrim's Journey with the older students was a huge blessing to me! I loved this camp!

Nicole C.

Conroe, TX

My kids look forward to camp all year long! At the end of each day they excitedly ask each other what and how they learned about the different themes in their class. One of their favorite parts of camp is seeing if the girls or boys are in the lead in raising money for the ministry. Can't say enough about how well the currciulum is written out and all that the kids learn in a short amount of time!

Monica H.

Cypress, TX

The approach Reformed VBS has towards the teaching of the children is theologically sound with curriculum that provides structured theology towards each age group for an understanding of God's Word. Camp is an exciting week that kids looks forward to coming to each day!

Frequently Asked Questions

Don't see your Question? Feel free to Contact Us at the link at the top of the page or leave a message on our Facebook page.

What does "Reformed" mean?

"Reformed" is a theological view that holds God's sovereignty in high esteem, especially in regards to original sin, predestination and election. Our curriculum reflects theology in accordance with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

What makes your curriculum different from others?

We encourage children of all ages to consider the deep things of God. Whether it is working through the Baptist Children's Catechism or learing about theological themes, we want our students to contemplate who they are in Christ and where they are in their journey.

While our camp is fun, we've curated a camp where our students learn about scripture, church history, geography, literature, theology and doctine. Even our arts and recreation are designed to support the theological themes being discussed in class. From the opening ceremony to closing prayer, our classes are designed the show the Greatness of God and our need for Him as man.
